Here are some things to remember when submitting your print files to us...
- To send your files,
simply send us an email with
your text and graphics files included as attachments. For MS
Outlook or Outlook Express, choose File under the Insert menu, then
browse for your document, graphics, and font files.
- Make sure that
all fonts and graphics files (images) are
included. To avoid jagged or substituted fonts, be sure to include
all of the styles of the fonts you used, such as bold and italics.
- Call ahead to see
that we have the same software you used to create your document. Your
best bet may be to convert any files you want printed to PDF format.
Most recent versions of DTP (data transfer) software and even Microsoft
Word have an option to create a PDF file of a document.
- If you are scanning
photos, adjust the image resolution to match the output machine. A good
rule to thumb is to scan at one-fourth the final printer resolution;
for example, for most 600 dpi printers, set your scanner at 150 pixels
per inch.
- Don't place bitmap
scans of photos in a layout and then enlarge them. All that will do
is create a chunky- looking printout with splotchy color. Instead, use
Adobe Photoshop or the software that came with your scanner to scale
up the photo to the finished size you desire; then save this larger
version onto a disk to place into your document before output.

help you might need, feel free to call us at 707-775-4300 or e-mail
